Vendes is a French commune in the department of Calvados in the region Normandy . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayeux and is part of the canton of Bretteville-l'Orgueilleuse (until 2015: member municipality in the canton of Tilly-sur-Seulles ). The community has 320 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Vendes is about 17 kilometers west-southwest of Caen . Vendes is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Juvigny-sur-Seulles in the north, Tessel in the northeast, Noyers-Bocage in the east and southeast, Monts-en-Bessin in the south and Saint-Vaast-sur-Seulles in the west and southwest.
