Saint-Vigor-le-Grand is a French commune with 2,438 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Bayeux and the Canton of Bayeux .
geography
Saint-Vigor-le-Grand is about 26 kilometers northwest of Caen am Aure . The Atlantic coast is seven kilometers to the north. Saint-Vigor-le-Grand is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Longues-sur-Mer in the north, Magny-en-Bessin in the northeast, Sommervieu and Vienne-en-Bessin in the east, Esquay-sur-Selles in the southeast, Saint-Martin- des-Entrées in the south, Bayeux in the west and south-west and Vaux-sur-Aure in the north-west.
