Cartigny-l'Épinay is a French municipality with 298 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .

Geographical location
Cartigny-l'Épinay is located in Normandy just a few kilometers inland from the coast of the English Channel in the northwesternmost canton of Isigny-sur-Mer in the Calvados department. The municipality is located about halfway between the eastern city of Bayeux , the seat of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissement, and the southern city of Saint-Lô , the prefecture of the neighboring department of Manche to the west .

The community was created in 1826 through the union of the two hamlets L'Epinay-Tesson and Cartigny.
