In the municipality of Montfiquet, there is a substantial part of the nature reserve Forest of Cerisy . The community itself is located about 17 kilometers southwest of Bayeux . Montfiquet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Molay-Littry in the north, Le Tronquay in the northeast, Balleroy-sur-Drôme in the east, La Bazoque in the south and southeast, Litteau in the south, Bérigny in the southwest and Cerisy-la-Forêt in the west and northwest .
