Formigny La Bataille is a French commune with 731 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Calvados department in the Normandy region . It belongs to the canton of Trévières in the Arrondissement of Bayeux .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2017 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Formigny , Écrammeville , Aignerville and Louvières , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Formigny.

location
Formigny La Bataille is located around 16 kilometers northwest of Bayeux and is part of the Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin Regional Nature Park . The Europastraße 46 , which has been converted into a motorway , crosses the municipality. Only four kilometers further north is the coast of the English Channel .
