Sallen is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cormolain in the north and north-west, Planquery in the north and north-east, Foulognes in the east and north-east, Caumont-sur-Aure in the south and east, Saint-Jean-d'Elle in the south-west and Montrabot in the west and south-west.
