Caumont-sur-Aure is a French commune with 2,368 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the canton of Aunay-sur-Odon and the Arrondissement Vire .
The municipality was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2017 through the amalgamation of the former municipalities of Caumont-l'Éventé , Livry and La Vacquerie , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Caumont-l'Éventé.

geography
Caumont-sur-Aure borders Sallen , Foulognes and Sainte-Honorine-de-Ducy to the west, Cahagnolles to the north, Aurseulles to the east, Amayé-sur-Seulles (point of contact) to the southeast, and Cahagnes and Val de to the south Drôme and in the south-west at La Lande-sur-Drôme , Biéville and Saint-Jean-d'Elle . The river Aure has its source in Livry .
