Caumont-l'Éventé is a village and a former French commune with 1,324 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Calvados department in the Normandy region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Bayeux and the canton of Aunay-sur-Odon (until 2015: canton of Caumont-l'Éventé ). The inhabitants are called Caumontais .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Caumont-l'Éventé , Livry and La Vacquerie were merged into a Commune nouvelle called Caumont-sur-Aure and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Caumont-l'Éventé.

Caumont-l'Éventé is located about 34 kilometers west-southwest of Caen am Aure .
The municipality of Caumont-l'Éventé was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Sallen in the north and northwest, Foulognes in the north and northeast, Livry in the east, Cahagnes in the southeast, Sept-Vents in the south and La Vacquerie in the west.
