Épinay-sur-Odon lies on the border of the Caen Plain , about 22 km southwest of Caen . The municipality is surrounded by Parfouru-sur-Odon in the north, Val d'Arry with Tournay-sur-Odon in the northeast, Landes-sur-Ajon in the east, Le Mesnil-au-Grain in the southeast, Longvillers in the south, Maisoncelles-Pelvey in the southwest, Villers-Bocage in the west and Villy-Bocage in the northwest.
