Bambi Awards 1980

The 31st Bambi Awards took place on March 12, 1980 in the Munich nightclub Charly M. The prices refer to 1979. The moderator of the event was Dieter Kronzucker .

The award

In 1980, a Bambi award took place in a luxury disco for the first time. In line with this, the readers of the youth magazine Rocky were asked to vote for Bambi winners in the music category. In addition, there were short films for the first time at a Bambi award that explained the reason for the respective award ceremony.

Bruno Moravetz received a Bambi for his legendary report from the Olympic Games about the men's 15km cross-country skiing a few weeks earlier. There had Jochen Behle out at the first split, was not shown by the international director. Moravetz then asked the question “Where is Behle?” Several times. Jochen Behle gave the laudation at the award ceremony .
