The 17th Bambi Awards took place on May 9, 1965 in the Deutsches Museum in Munich . The prices refer to the year 1964.

The award

After the events at and after the Bambi Awards in 1964 , Franz Burda made his announcement true: For the first time since the more private Bambi Awards in 1953 , the award ceremony did not take place in Karlsruhe , but in Munich.

The Bambi award winners in the categories for the most popular actors and actresses did not change much compared to previous years. As in previous years, Heinz Rühmann (this time ahead of Thomas Fritsch and OW Fischer ) and Liselotte Pulver (ahead of Ruth Leuwerik and Nadja Tiller ) won the national categories . Sophia Loren won again in the international category before Doris Day . Only Charlton Heston could not repeat his previous year's victory. Instead, Rock Hudson won again , who had prevailed against Pierre Brice . In addition, the 1964 abolished young Bambi were the last time awarded (they went to Elke Aberle and Michael Maien ), and when earned artists were 1965 even three actresses ( Marianne Hoppe , Brigitte Horney and Hilde Krahl ) and actor ( Willy Fritsch , Hans Söhnker and Mathias Wieman ) honored.
