Liseleje is a Danish village with 2,499 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) on Sjælland ( German : Zealand ). The village is in the parish ( Danish : Sogn ) Melby ( Melby Sogn ), which belonged to Harde Strø Herred in what was then Frederiksborg Amt until 1970 . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the Frederiksværk municipality , the municipality in turn merged with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 with other municipalities in the newly founded Halsnæs municipality , which belongs to the Hovedstaden region.
Liseleje is about seven kilometers north of Frederiksværk and about nine kilometers northeast of Hundested .
The asteroid (9272) Liseleje was named after the village in 2009.
