(9272) Liseleje is an asteroid of the main central belt , which was discovered on May 19, 1979 by the Danish astronomer Richard Martin West at the La Silla Observatory of the European Southern Observatory in Chile ( IAU code 809). The asteroid had already been sighted in September 1976 under the provisional designation 1976 SQ 3 at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj .
The rotation period of (9272) Liseleje was established in 2015 by Adam Waszczak, Chan-Kao Chang, Eran Ofek et al. examined. However, the light curve was not sufficient for a determination.
The mean diameter of the asteroid was calculated to be 7.243 km (± 0.108).
(9272) Liseleje was named on February 9, 2009 after Liseleje , a Danish town on the island of Zealand .
