Liselotte Mettler

Liselotte Mettler (born June 6, 1939 in Vienna ) is a German-Austrian gynecologist and university lecturer in Kiel . She is one of the world's leading reproductive medicine .

Career

Liselotte Mettler attended school in Vienna, Stuttgart and Humboldt, Iowa ( USA ). From 1959 to 1965 she studied medicine at the Universities of Tübingen , Vienna and Kiel . After a year in Peru was in 1967 in Kiel with a thesis on "an alcohol effect on account of the blood alcohol levels on the importance of clinical diagnosis: A statistical Auswertg of 44,690 blood alcohol findings and medical blood collection protocols" doctorate . From 1968 to 1973 she studied at the university women's clinic at Kurt Semm theFurther training to become a gynecologist. She completed her habilitation in 1976 with a thesis on "Immunological Aspects of Female Sterility" .

In 1981 she was appointed Deputy Clinic Director. She headed the Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine section even after her retirement in 2002 until December 31, 2007. Since then she has been working as a resident gynecologist in Kiel and managing the company Gyneconsulting Kiel , which was founded in 2007, and provides advice on science and clinics in the sector Gynecology offers.

She is the widow of the Kiel haematopathologist Reza Parwaresch and has three sons.

The European Society for Gynecological Endoscopy awarded in 2010 at the 19th annual meeting of the ESGE in Barcelona for the first time Liselotte Mettler Award for the best video presentation.
