Lisewo is a village with a Schulzenamt of the rural municipality Pyzdry in the Powiat Wrzesiński of the Lublin Voivodeship in Poland .

history

The place was mentioned in a document in 1392 as Lissowo . As Lisewo he was called from the 19th century. The possessive name is derived from the personal name Lis (compare lis - fox ).

Administratively it belonged to the Pyzdry district of the Kalisz Voivodeship, in the Kingdom of Poland (from 1569 in the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania ).

Between the years 1765 and 1793 the so-called "Olędrzy" (see Hauländer ) were settled on the north-western plot of the village . The ethnically mixed settlement was called Lisewskie Olędry alias Olszowiec , later also called Holendry Lisewskie . After the second partition of Poland it belonged to South Prussia from 1793 to 1807 and in the course of the Frederician colonization the non- Hauländische Kolonia Lisewo (now part of the Schulzenamt Ciemierów-Kolonia) was founded on the grounds of the village . In 1809 it came to the Duchy of Warsaw and in 1815 to the newly formed Russian-dominated Congress Poland .

In 1858 Lisewo became the seat of an evangelical branch of Zagórów .

After the end of the First World War , Lisewo came to Poland. Around October 26, 1939, the Kalischer area was annexed and incorporated into the German Empire as part of the new Posen Reichsgau , later Wartheland . From 1975 to 1998 Lisewo was part of the Konin Voivodeship .
