List of mayors of the city of Speyer
The list of mayors of the city of Speyer lists the well-known mayors of the city of Speyer in what is now Rhineland-Palatinate , their term of office and further remarks.
Imperial City Mayor 1350–1796
Mayor 1350–1516
In the 14th century, the position of the Speyer household and Münzer dwindled . In 1349 the guilds were able to enforce a guild constitution for the imperial city. The housemates had to renounce their last privileges and establish themselves as a guild among 14 other guilds.
From 1378 onwards, the mayors are recorded in the council book without any gaps, for the other years they can be determined from documents or the document book. The office holders take over the mayor's office every three years.

Mayor 1517–1690
Since 1517, the mayor pairs have changed every two years. One pair in each case is in office in the even years, the second in the odd years, with the office holders of the couple in the even years then taking on other tasks as senior masters (and vice versa).
The first column, “Term of Office”, lists the years as the ruling mayor, the following the years as the representative of his predecessor (second mayor) - provided that both parties survive.
- Many different spellings of names.
Year †: death in office
