Rudolf Trampler (born February 27, 1898 in Speyer ; † August 7, 1974 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

Rudolf Trampler grew up in Speyer on and completed the elementary and middle school . He left the latter with the upper secondary qualification . He then worked in the Speyer district office until 1917. From December 11, 1917 to November 10, 1918, he took part in the First World War as a private and was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class . From 1921 he studied at the Weihenstephan University of Agriculture and Brewery , where he graduated in 1925 as an agricultural engineer .

As early as 1921 he joined the NSDAP and the SA . After the banning of organizations by the High Commission , he joined the party in May 1928 again at ( membership number 104695) and founded the local chapter of Speyer. In 1929 he was elected to the city council of Speyer. In the Gau Rheinpfalz he was from January 25, 1931 to February 1, 1943 Gau propaganda leader. On August 21, 1933, Joseph Goebbels appointed him to the state culture warden of the Reich Propaganda Office for the Rhine Palatinate (from 1936 Saarpfalz, from 1940 Westmark). He held the office until February 1, 1943.

From April 13, 1943 to March 23, 1945 he held the post of Lord Mayor of Speyer. In the last days of the war he fled to Munich , but was later interned in Landau in the Palatinate . In the denazification process , he was classified as "incriminated". However, by decision of the Speyer city council, he received his retirement benefits in 1957.
