Double mill system with a dam at the Berkel . It is a typical double mill from Münsterland. Grain and oil mills are connected by a planked bridge over the weir. In 1910, a turbine replaced two water wheels; the electricity generated from this was used to operate a grinding mill and a sawmill. In 1914 the flour mill was connected to the turbine with a flat belt. The grain mill was used for grinding (personal use) until 1985.
