In the list of architectural monuments in Marpingen , all architectural monuments of the Saarland municipality of Marpingen and its districts are listed. The basis is the publication of the state monuments list in the Saarland official gazette of December 22, 2004 and the current sub-monuments list of the St. Wendel district in the version of August 9, 2017.

"Hiwwelhaus", farmhouse The Hiwwelhaus ("hill house") is the oldest farmhouse in the Saarland that has been preserved in its original state and dates in its current form from the years 1711/12. In the years 1995 to 1998 it was redeveloped by the municipality of Marpingen. The house is set up as a rural museum, a modern multifunctional hall has been set up in the former stable. The building with a gable roof is a forerunner of the south-west German single house with a barn and stable which is typical for the region. The outer walls of the living area were built from solid sandstone on which a half-timbered structure stands. The stable and barn are half-timbered structures. Alsweiler Hiwwelhaus.JPG

Catholic Church of St. Mauritius The Mauritius Church was built between 1829 and 1831 based on designs by Johann Martin Fladt. In 1947 the sacristy was torn down and rebuilt in an enlarged form. In 1950/51 the nave was extended by two aisles. The basilica is illuminated in the upper aisle by small round windows. In the side aisles there are high windows with round arches. The choir with a five-page ending has hardly moved in. Hollow coves lead over into the flat ceiling. The portal with aedicula is located in the west tower of the classical building. Wayside cross Elaborately designed stone cross from 1786. In the foot of the cross sits a skull as a symbol of vanitas . A curved plinth with a niche sits underneath. The construction sits on a profiled column with volutes.

Wayside cross The wayside cross was built in 1791 by Johann Wegmann from red sandstone. The high-footed crucifix stands on a small altar.

Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary , 1902–03 by Wilhelm Hector (individual monument) The church building was built in 1902/03 according to designs by Wilhelm Hector in the historicist style. The church building was built in neo -Gothic style, the church tower with neo-Romanesque elements. Buttresses, ornaments, portals and soffits of the plastered building are made of light sandstone. The portal is on the gable side and is crowned by a rose window. Lower aisles are attached to the central nave. A transept cuts through the nave. In the corner between the choir room with a five-sided end and aisle sits a tower over a square floor plan. The side and central aisles are separated inside by ogival arcades on round pillars. Mill Scherer The mill was built in 1836. The building was renovated in the 1990s and is now used as a cultural center and meeting place. The two-story plastered residential building with a crooked hip roof has five asymmetrical window axes. The mill building is a single-storey plastered building with a half-hip roof and six window axes. There is a door in the second and fifth axis. Marpingen Old Mill.jpg

Catholic Church of St. Francis The Franziskuskirche was built in 1913/14 according to plans by the Trier architect Peter Marx . The nave of the neo-baroque church building sits behind a tower with a Welsch dome, with two low structures next to it. The hall church is dominated by deep window niches, which are decorated by pilasters with round arches. The elongated, drawn-in choir sits behind the transept and is closed off by a semicircular apse with a semi-dome. The barrel vault is decorated with stucco and paintings. Former Hunting lodge The hunting lodge was built in 1787. The two-storey, eaves-mounted plastered building with a crooked hip roof has five window axes on the street side over a high base. A cornice divides the facade. The window and door are equipped with segment arches, with an accentuated keystone in the central axis.

Gasthaus Bregge, farm building, house tree The inn was built in 1907, the farm buildings are from 1924. The street side of the building has three asymmetrically distributed window axes in two storeys above a high basement with an arched structure. Two-tone corner blocks adorn the house. The upright rectangular windows have profiled reveals with a cantilevered, straight roof. The entrance is in the two-axis gable end.
