In the list of architectural monuments in Nohfelden , all architectural monuments of the Saarland community Nohfelden are listed according to their districts. The basis is the publication of the state monuments list as of March 1, 2011 and the current sub-monuments list of the St. Wendel district in the version of August 9, 2017.

"Schlösschen", hunting lodge The hunting lodge was built in 1894 for the Saarbrücken engineer Fritz von Rexroth. In 1910 a garage was built opposite the hunting lodge with an apartment above for the chauffeur. This building was rebuilt and enlarged in 1930. The hunting lodge is a three-storey plastered building with a half-hip roof. A protruding part of the building with a deep-drawn roof is executed over a base in a framework.

altar The wooden baroque altar from the 18th century originally stood in the Gonnesweiler Chapel, which was demolished in 1970. In the cafeteria there is an altarpiece with a cartouche in the center. It contains a painting of St. John of Nepomuk and is framed by Corinthian pillars and pilasters. A structure rises above it, in the middle of which sits another cartridge with the letters JHS. The cartouche is framed and crowned by volutes and rocaille elements.

Esebeck Castle, stone trough The baroque castle with an English garden was originally a feudal house of the lords of the "High Court Neunkirchen / Nahe" and was built around 1730. Of the former building complex, however, only the basement has been preserved, on which there are today three residential buildings built next to one another.

Jewish Cemetery The Jewish cemetery in Gonnesweiler was laid out around 1800. In 1932 the cemetery was enlarged and re-fenced. The last funeral took place in 1940. Of the 60 to 70 burials that took place here, 21 graves are still preserved today. During the Nazi era, the cemetery was desecrated and destroyed. It was only restored after the war. In 1980 the community of Nohfelden and the synagogue community of Saar erected a memorial plaque for the Jewish fellow citizens of Gonnesweiler. Near Bostalsee Jewish cemetery.JPG

Catholic Church of St. Martin , 1828–29 by Valentin Karsch and König (individual monument) The oldest part of St. Martin is the medieval tower with a pointed helmet. The classical nave was built in 1828/29 according to plans by Valentin Karsch and König. The interior is dominated by a three-part ceiling with an open roof structure. The choir screen with three round arches on rectangular pillars is unusual. Above the middle arch, which is wider and higher than the other two, is a flat triangular gable with a mission cross. The arch is flanked by two figures on consoles. On the back wall of the recently completed choir, paintings are attached in the upper area. Neunkirchen (Nahe), St. Martin (11) .JPG

Office building The rectangular building with a hipped roof was built in 1821/22 as a building for a local court. The two floors of the plastered building rise above a low base. The seven window axes are designed with tall rectangular lattice windows. On the ground floor there is an entrance door with a lunette window in the central axis. A cornice separates the first and second floors. In the roof there is a dormer window with a triangular gable and four windows above the three central axes of the facade. The two outer windows are smaller than the middle windows. The “Museum für Mode & Tracht” has been located in the building since 2005.

Nohfelden Castle , castle ruins The spur castle was built around 1280 by Wilhelm Bosel von Oberstein. In the middle of the 15th century it came into the possession of the dukes of Pfalz-Zweibrücken. In the 15th century the fortress was expanded. After the French Revolution, the property was auctioned in 1804 and demolished by the new owner. Oldenburger Hof, farmhouse, 1807 (individual monument) After the escape of the Benedictine monks from the French Revolution in 1792, the mayor Peter Schneider acquired the Tholey monastery and used its stones between 1804 and 1807 to build a stately farm with a tannery, distillery and restaurant. The southwest German Einhaus is an eaves-standing, two-story plastered building with a residential wing, barn and stable. The six-axis residential wing is separated from the rest of the building by a square pilaster strip and has a cornice. A curved gable, which is cranked with the cornice, sits above the entrance. Catholic Antonius and Kathrein chapel The St. Antonius Chapel (also known as the Kathrein Chapel) was built in the 16th century. The oldest part of the hall building is the tower from the 13th century, the bell dates from 1509. The completely preserved late baroque Way of the Cross is unique in its kind. The furnishings include an altar with column decorations and figures of saints from the 18th century.

Ev. Parish church The oldest part of the church is the bell tower from 1578 with Romanizing, Gothic and Renaissance companies. The square hall building with hipped roof was built in the 18th century and takes the tower slightly in the gable side. Jewish Cemetery The cemetery was laid out around 1650 and is one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Saarland. has been. The oldest surviving tombstone dates from 1748. During the 19th century the cemetery was expanded several times. It was devastated in 1938 during the Nazi era. The last of a total of 500 to 600 burials took place in 1941. Ev. church The Protestant church was built in 1958/59 according to plans by the architect Heinrich Otto Vogel . The building with its red sandstone cladding is reminiscent of a castle and has a floor plan derived from a fish shape. The altar of the hall church was built into the three-sided end of the choir. A monopitch roof rises from the west to the tapered east side. A small bronze sculpture sits above the simple portal. Holzhauserhof The Holzhauserhof was a stud of the dukes of Zweibrücken and from 1830 the forester's house of the duke of Oldenburg. Since 1948 the building has been part of the Saarland forest administration. The courtyard was built around 1727. The two-storey central building with a hipped roof has two single-storey side wings. St. Ignatius Church St. Ignatius was built in 1968 by Hanns Schönecker on an approximately square floor plan from a steel column construction that was clad with exposed concrete panels. The slate roof is asymmetrical. A glass dormer illuminates the interior of the church. The attached rectory has a flat roof and is composed of block-like building parts. Ev. Parish church The oldest part of the church is the tower substructure from the 13th century. The tower dates from the 15th century. The nave was built between 1786 and 1788 according to plans by Friedrich Gerhard Wahl after the old nave was demolished due to its dilapidation. The baroque hall church with three window axes has a tower on the south side, in which there is a portal with a straight lintel and profiled garment. Catholic Church of St. Laurentius St. Laurentius was built in the years 1867/68 in the style of historicism with neo-Romanesque elements. The three-axle nave is preceded by an unplastered tower. The choir closes with a semicircular apse. Arched friezes and pilaster strips decorate the outside of the building. You enter the church building via a tower portal with a round arch and lunette window . The belt arches between the yokes are supported by mighty round columns with composite capitals.
