Architecture and equipment

The church building is a hall church in the style of historicism , with neo-Romanesque elements predominating. Built on a hill, the building to which leads up a staircase, is divided from west to east in the church tower with an octagonal spire , the five yokes divided nave with three window axes and a choir that as a conclusion to a semicircular apse passes. A sacristy is attached to the side of the nave . Another small extension is added to the side of the choir room.

The neo-Romanesque elements can be seen on the outside of the church in the form of arched friezes and pilaster strips . The building is entered through a tower portal with a round arch and lunette window . Inside, mighty round columns with composite capitals support the girdle arches between the yokes.

The church's furnishings include the tabernacle, newly acquired in 1958, and the high altar from 1960 in the chancel, which was consecrated on July 10 of the same year by cathedral capitular Josef Paulus on behalf of the then Trier bishop Matthias Wehr . There is a large cross above the tabernacle.

Other appliances are two of basswood created saints , Mary and Joseph representing that on pedestals standing flanking the sanctuary. The Stations of the Cross on the side walls of the nave and a figure of St. Theresa of Lisieux are made of the same material . The objects were made in southern German art workshops.

The church windows were installed in 1941. They show the church patron Laurentius, Petrus Canisius , Wendalinus , Elisabeth of Thuringia , the Holy Family and the Guardian Angels . Under the organ loft one's memorial plaque of the fallen of World War II attached.

The three bells existing bells is harmonious on the bells of the more southern Protestant church voted.
