history

The church was built in 1828/29 according to plans by Valentin Karsch and König.

The oldest part of the church is the tower , which comes from the previous church and has remained because of its importance as a monument.

In the years 1867 and 1868 the first renovation works were carried out, during which the church received a new roof, a new ceiling and a gallery . In addition, all walls in the interior were repainted and decorative paintings were added. Due to the large number of donations received for the church, it was also possible to purchase seven new stained glass windows , two side altars, a mission cross and several church chairs .

In 1871 a new floor was laid in the church and in 1891 a new organ was installed.

In 2005 the church had to be renovated because water seeped in through the roof. The total cost of the measure was around 170,000 euros.

Church building

The church building is a rectangular hall with a tower attached to the side.

The interior of the church is defined by a choir screen with three round arches . The arches rest on square or rectangular pillars . Above the middle arch, which is much wider and slightly higher than the other two, is a flat triangular gable , on top of which is a mission cross flanked by two statues on the flat ends above the other arches.
On the back wall of the choir room there are paintings in the upper area. On the left side wall there is a representation of the church patron, St. Martin.

Also noteworthy are the richly decorated pulpit with sound cover , as well as the wooden constructions of the gallery and the open roof truss .

A way of the cross in the form of paintings is attached to the side walls .

In the tower of the church there is a chime consisting of four bells.
