Serebrjansk ( Kazakh Серебрянск ) is a city in the East Kazakhstan region with around 8,276 inhabitants (as of 2020).

Geographical location

The city is located on the right bank of the Irtysh River and around 91 kilometers southeast of the regional capital Öskemen ( Ust-Kamenogorsk ).

history

Serebryansk was established as a settlement for the workers who built the barricade of the Buchtarma reservoir and was granted city rights in 1962.
