church The church dates from the second half of the 13th century. The field stone church was under the patronage of Count von Arnim zu Boitzenburg. After the building was destroyed in the Thirty Years War , it was rebuilt in 1733/1734 in a greatly modified form. Some of the furnishings from the 18th century, such as the sixteen- armed brass chandelier (donated by the villagers) or the manorial and patron chairs have been preserved. Until the mid-1960s, the church tower carried a weather vane with the year of the reconstruction (1733) and a tower ball . When the roof was re-roofed, the municipality had these two parts replaced by a wrought-iron cross. The organ was built in 1887 in the organ building workshop of Albert Hollenbach from Neuruppin and has largely been preserved in its original form.

( Location ) church The church in this small settlement was probably built in the 13th century and belonged to the parish of Beenz. It was destroyed to the ground in the Thirty Years War . On behalf of the patronage, the “Königl. Prussia. Würckl. Secret Budget and War Minister von Arnim auf Boitzenburg ”it was rebuilt in 1747. The rebuilding cost 738  Reichstaler . The surrounding cemetery was closed in 1970, and the burials have taken place in Lychen ever since. Because of the insufficient number of believers, a service was last held in the church in 1982 . Extensive structural renovation of the building began in 2002 and was not yet completed by the summer of 2013.

Due to the location of the building on the Mühlengraben, some painters later settled here, which is why the name Malerwinkel has become natural for this area down to the Oberpfuhl.
