List of bridges over the Elbe-Havel Canal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The list of bridges over the Elbe-Havel Canal , official abbreviation EHK , includes bridges over the Elbe-Havel Canal . The 58 km long federal waterway lies in the federal states of Saxony-Anhalt and Brandenburg .

history

As part of the transport project No. 17 , the Elbe-Havel Canal was and is being expanded into the Vb waterway. All of the former bridges over the EHK no longer met the requirements of a modern European waterway in terms of their dimensions. In order to achieve the required passage heights of 5.25 meters, 19 bridges were and will be replaced and the old bridges demolished as part of the canal expansion. The completion of all bridges is planned for 2017.

Structure of the bridge list

Only the bridges documented in the sources (literature and web links) are included. The kilometrage (column  2 ) takes place on the main body of water Elbe-Havel Canal to Berg, i.e. H. from west to east following the kilometers of the Mittelland Canal . The kilometrage follows the information on the boat tickets. In column 3 , most of the bridges are documented in the picture. Column 4 contains the bridge names, nameless bridges in brackets. Below that are the places or districts in which or in the vicinity of which they are located. In the text column "Comments", brief notes on the bridges are given, if known. The sixth and last column links the coordinates of the structures.
