The Prince-Bishop's delegates for Brandenburg and Pomerania headed the Prince-Bishop's Delegation District for Brandenburg and Pomerania, which was created in 1821 .
The Apostolic Delegation for Brandenburg and Pomerania from 1821 to 1930
The Apostolic Delegation for Brandenburg and Pomerania was founded for Prussia on July 16, 1821 with the papal bull De salute animarum and the accompanying Breve Quod de fidelium by Pope Pius VII . The reorganization resulted in the prince-bishop's delegation for Brandenburg and Pomerania being established. The associated office of provost of Sankt Hedwig in Berlin was also linked to the office of a delegate and canon from Breslau .
The delegation district was the Catholic jurisdiction of the Duchy of Breslau for Pomerania (excluding the districts of Bütow and Lauenburg in Pomm.) And Brandenburg (excluding Niederlausitz / Neumark), from which the Diocese of Berlin emerged on August 13, 1930 .
The prince-bishop's delegate for Brandenburg and Pomerania took part in the election for prince-bishop of Breslau.
