List of standard bearers of the 1908 Summer Olympics
The list of standard-bearers for the 1908 Summer Olympics is the list of the standard- bearers at the opening ceremony.
When the nations marched in, the athletes from all participating countries moved into the White City Stadium . At the opening ceremony, the individual teams were led by a flag bearer from the ranks of their athletes or officials, who was determined either by their respective National Olympic Committee (NOK) or by the athletes themselves. Behind the flag bearer, the athletes marched in rows of four. Finland and Russia were linked states in a personal union, but sent separate teams.

The countries entered the stadium in alphabetical order in the language of the host nation, in this case English . Exceptions were Finland , which invaded the European states, and the United States, which invaded before the British colonies. The UK delegation was the last to arrive as the host nation. Argentina , Iceland , the Ottoman Empire , Switzerland and the Russian Empire took part in the competitions, but did not march at the opening ceremony.
