List of International Historians' Days

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list records the International Historians' Days since 1898. From 1900 onwards they are officially numbered with Roman numerals.

The International Historians (Engl. International Congress of Historical Sciences , French Congrès International des Sciences Historiques ) is a five-yearly historical scientific conference. The conference lasts about a week and usually takes place in August or September. While the first cross-border historians' days took place at the invitation of individual associations, there is a secretariat founded in Geneva in 1926 ( Comité International des Sciences Historiques (CISH) or International Committee of Historical Sciences)(ICHS)) a permanent organization. It has 52 national organizations (as of 2015).
