The list of hymns contains 35 songs for which Martin Luther wrote the text and the music.

chronology

The first songs were written in 1523 ( we are starting a new song , Now rejoice, dear Christians, g'mein and others). At the turn of the year 1523/24, four songs by Luther were printed for the first time in the eight- song book in Nuremberg, and 18 songs in the Erfurt Enchiridion in 1524 .
