This cross marks a border mark between Bilzingen, Wincheringen and Körrig and has been named after at least 1564. According to a legend, the cross takes its name from Empress Helena , who was here on the Roman road during a pilgrimage to the Holy Land rested and set the shrine with the sacred skirt on the ground, whereupon a rose bush sprouted at this point.
