Monument text: Two-story house with a solid ground floor (quarry stone masonry) and half-timbered upper floor, plastered. Marked on the profiled lintel, 1887, the time it was driven under The half-timbered construction probably has St. Andrew's crosses and flared head struts on the upper floor, from which one can conclude that the half-timbered construction was created around 1650. The house is closed by a gable roof with slate covering. Even if the window openings on the upper floor were enlarged, they remained largely intact. With the presumed construction time around 1650, the building belongs to the oldest building stock in the place, from which the great city-historical and architectural value of the house is derived. Side building and barn of a three-sided farm | Waldstrasse 1 (map) |
End of 18th century | Half-timbered buildings typical of the landscape, of architectural and socio-historical importance, side buildings with clogged upper arbor (rarity).
Monument text: The farm buildings belonging to the Dreiseithof are characterized by their original building stock. Even if z. For example, if the ground floor of the side building was changed to include garage installations on the ground floor, the building's monumental value results from the valuable half-timbered construction of the upper floor and the roof with three dormers and slate covering. The historical value of the house is due in particular to the eight-bay upper arbor, which has been added today and which is structurally completely preserved. This design is typical for the landscape area, but is now becoming rarer. In addition, Oberlauben can only be found in certain areas of Saxony. The single-storey barn with a high pitched roof impresses with its old and original half-timbered construction, built in 1809 according to the inscription. The well-preserved half-timbered construction is the reason for the building's historical value. As typical farm buildings from their construction period, which still allow the rural economy to be experienced today, both buildings also acquire social and historical significance. (LFD / 2011) Side buildings: solid ground floor, garages, cantilevered upper floor, half-timbered, former eight-bay upper arbor, slate roof, barn: half-timbered on stone plinth. |

Residential house (half-timbered house) in open development | Wiesenburger Strasse 7 (map) |
1630-1650 | Architecturally of great importance, ancient half-timbered construction (head braces, double St. Andrew's crosses in parapet fields), rarity as a half-timbered house in the region.
Monument text: Belonging to the oldest development in Wildenfels. Two-storey half-timbered house, probably built in the 1st half of the 17th century, with later extension on the gable side. The surrounding area on the ground floor had two by two yokes. All head struts of the half-timbered construction are leafed, the strong threshold was provided with a boat valley, the straight St. Andrew's crosses were arranged in pairs in the lower compartments on the upper floor and in the gable. The gable triangle is decorated with a diamond motif. The two-storey gable-side extension has half-timbered structures on the first and second floors. The simpler formation of the framework indicates that this extension was possibly added in the 18th or 19th century. To compensate for the great difference in height, it was built on a high rubble stone base. The house impresses with its high level of authenticity and its valuable building stock, which was able to be preserved through the renovation in accordance with listed buildings in 1998/99. The rarity of the half-timbered construction, in particular the surrounding construction in this landscape area, explains the great historical value of the building including its subsequent extension. (LFD / 2011) Part of the building structure of the half-timbered house (half-timbered building on the left 2/2 yokes), leafed, strong threshold with ship's throat, upper floor half-timbered with straight St. Andrew's crosses, head band, the second part half-timbered on both floors, on a high rubble base. |

Residential stable of a three-sided courtyard | Dorfstrasse 4 (map) |
around 1720 | Half-timbered house with K-struts and massive ground floor, one of the oldest farmhouses in the community, rare half-timbered construction, great architectural significance.
Monument text:
The former stable house was probably built around 1700. This is clearly demonstrated by the framework and roof construction. The house was probably massively driven under after 1870. This can also be clearly seen from the vaulted cap in the stable. Apart from minor structural measures outside and inside, there are no other significant interventions in the building stock of the house. The ground floor thus documents the construction phase around 1870 and the upper floor and the roof the construction phase around 1700.
Two-storey rural residential and farm building with a longitudinal rectangular floor plan with a solid ground floor (undercut after 1870) and half-timbered upper storey, two half-timbered bars each on eaves and gable sides, K-struts (around 1700) and saddle roof. The house entrance was arranged in the middle of the courtyard eaves, stone steps compensate for the height difference between the courtyard and the hallway. In contrast to the typical landscape construction, the barn was moved to the street gable side during the renovation after 1870, the door to the barn area on the courtyard side is lower than the front door. The room, however, was moved to the rear gable side. The reasons why the owners deviated from the typical landscape layout on the ground floor during the renovation is probably not known. This is a special solution. The typical tripartite division (transverse division) of the ground floor into the stable area, central corridor and living area was retained. The upper floor with the half-timbered construction usual for the time around 1700 remained externally unchanged, only the slate cladding that was present at times was partially replaced. Inside, marginal changes and renovations were made on the upper floor, such as B. Partitions drawn in and new doors installed. These are reversible building measures that were not associated with changes to the framework construction or the outer walls. Of course, it can be assumed that the window openings have been enlarged. However, this has been common practice. In the case of side buildings one meets even more often buildings with window openings from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century, while this is extremely rare in residential houses. The roof truss is a collar beam roof with a single standing chair, lateral wind bracing and attachments. The standing chair is connected to the collar beam by flattened head struts. These are dovetail connections. A recess in one of the chair pillars indicates that originally there were also foot struts that connected the chair pillars with the waistband walls on the upper floor. This construction was actually common in the early 17th century, but was still to be found around 1700. Even without a dendrochronological examination and without documentary evidence, it can be assumed that the upper floor and the roof structure were erected around 1700, i.e. belong to the original structure of the house. This assumption is confirmed by numerous building studies on similar buildings.
Due to the preserved room layout of the house, the original room sizes and preserved equipment, such as. B. the smokehouse or the stable, the way of life of the farmers of the early 18th and the late 19th century is still clearly understandable. It can be seen that humans and animals lived under one roof, which rooms were originally heated and which were not, that bedrooms and living rooms were available and that the floor served as a storage room and was not developed. The socio-historical significance of the house is derived from this. In the municipality of Wildenfels (Wildenfels and all districts) eight largely original rural houses from the early 18th and 17th centuries have been preserved. About five of these houses still had a comparable half-timbered construction. After the monument registration in the entire district of Zwickau, we can say with certainty that half-timbered structures with K-struts on all eaves and gable sides are very rare and probably even represent a local peculiarity. As one of the oldest rural houses in the community of Wildenfels and a building with a very rare half-timbered construction, the former stable house Dorfstr. 4 in Wiesen has an extraordinarily high historical value.
The monument status of the house can also be confirmed. Criteria for this are the rarity (very rare and very old half-timbered construction, one of the oldest houses in the municipality) and the authenticity of the building. As already pointed out above, the essential building fabric remained original (half-timbered upper floor and attic). Structural changes were made to maintain the building or to adapt the house to changed conditions (end of the 19th century on the ground floor). But these measures are also typical of the landscape and the time and were carried out in the traditional manner. All changes are reversible and were not associated with the destruction of the original building fabric. The changes of the 19th century have also acquired historical significance after more than 100 years. (LfD / 2010) Solid ground floor, stone walls, upper floor half-timbered clad, gable roof. |
