Adolf Wagner von der Mühl | 1912 | On an artificial ledge below the Gugl-Rondeau crouches a larger than life sandstone sculpture of a bearded old man with ram's horns, the flowing modeling of the surface shows the influence of Art Nouveau. The figure has individual expressive elements that point to the later work of Adolf Wagner von der Mühl. In the area an alpinum was planted to match the monument . The figure was created in 1912 as a donation from Ludwig Hatschek by the artist who was then living in Linz. | ||

1913 | The Temple of Aphrodite is surrounded by ten Ionic columns made of marble and rests on a two-tiered base. A knob-crowned Welsche hood rests on the support beam , which has a domed vault with a simple stucco medallion on the inside. The temple was acquired by Ludwig Hatschek and built in 1913 at the current location in the farmer's mountain complex. Inside was a life-size bronze figure of Aphrodite from 1942 to 2008, a second cast based on a missing version by Wilhelm Wandschneider and a gift from Adolf Hitler to the city of Linz. The statue was removed and put into storage in 2008. | |||
