List of members of the Saxon State Parliament in the Weimar Republic (6th electoral term)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list gives an overview of the members of the Saxon State Parliament from April to October 1933.

Due to the fact that the federal states were brought into line with the Reich after the National Socialists ' seizure of power, the deputies were not elected, but appointed after the results of the Reichstag election of March 5, 1933 . The individual groups of voters (parties) had to submit election proposals. The KPD was excluded from it.

The constituent meeting, at which the SPD members did not take part in protest against the arrest of numerous parliamentary group members, took place on May 16, 1933. After that, the state parliament only met two times (on May 23 and August 22, 1933). With the dissolution of the Reichstag on October 14, 1933, the Saxon Landtag was also dissolved in accordance with Section 11 of the Provisional Act on the Coordination of the Länder with the Reich of March 31, 1933. With the law on the rebuilding of the Reich of January 30, 1934, the representative bodies of the federal states were finally repealed.
