Château de Reichenberg | In 1236 a castle, built by Philipp von Lothringen, is mentioned, the feudal estate of the von Reichenberg family. In 1525 it was destroyed in the peasant wars. The ruin fell to the state. In 1797 Antoine Birr from Bergheim bought the remains and used them as a quarry. The surrounding wall was removed. Around 1875 a doctor from Strasbourg bought some parcels in the immediate vicinity of the castle and renovated some of the existing buildings, including a five-story residential building and the round keep, which was converted into a kitchen. In 1918, François de Pange acquiredthe castle and continued the restoration work that had started. He had a mansion built and the keep raised. In 1920 the former French ambassador Edmond Bapst acquired the building complex and had the interior restored by the architects Paul Riegert and Adolphe Wolff. During the Second World War the building stood empty before the current owner bought it and restored it again.

Tempelhof | The court came into the possession of the Knights Templar in 1257 and after 1312 passed to the Johanniter, who set up a commander here. In 1525 the building was destroyed. The Kommendehaus, rebuilt in 1558, contained a splendid Renaissance hall, which was demolished in 1862, but has been partially preserved. Door frame, coat of arms consoles, wall niche and some windows still give an idea of the Renaissance furnishings.

school | The building, built in 1550, was originally an ossuary. An inscription from 1884 was attached to F. Kraus: “Q ... D Memento mori. sic. transit. gla. mundi. en. ruit. in. vitiis. en. perit seine suis ”. In the 18th century the building was converted into a school. In 1964 the ground floor became a museum. Today the city museum is housed in the house. The facade of the two-storey plastered building with eaves is inconsistent. On the upper floor there are five window axes with tall rectangular windows. The seven axes of the ground floor are partially coupled and adapted to the windows on the upper floor. The floors of two arched windows and the door have been preserved in their original state and show Renaissance motifs.

synagogue | The synagogue was built from 1860 to 1863 according to plans by the architect Auguste Hartmann. It was devastated during the Nazi era and remained empty after the Second World War. In the 1990s, the former Jewish prayer house was renovated by the city of Bergheim and has been used for cultural events ever since. The building has arched windows that are framed with red sandstone. The neo-Romanesque gabled building is reminiscent of a basilica with its raised central section and lower sides. The arched portal is surmounted by a high entablature. Three arched windows above its straight roof. Above that rose window with a decorative round arch.
