List of natural monuments in the Mattersburg district

The list of natural monuments in the Mattersburg district lists all objects designated as natural monuments in the Mattersburg district in the state of Burgenland . Of the 37 natural monuments (as of December 31, 2012), almost all of the protected objects are trees or groups of trees, as well as a sand pit and an orchid meadow. Among the reported as natural monuments trees and tree groups are predominantly native species, with 15 natural landmarks Speier compacts ( Sorbus domestica ) and six Winter Linden ( Tilia cordata ) concern. The natural monuments are spatially distributed over 15 of the 19 municipalities, eight of which are located in Loipersbach in Burgenland , five in Marz and four each in Baumgarten and Forchtenstein .
