List of natural monuments in Saxony-Anhalt

The list of natural monuments in Saxony-Anhalt names the lists of natural monuments located in the districts and independent cities in Saxony-Anhalt .

In Saxony-Anhalt a distinction is made between natural monuments (abbreviated: ND), extensive natural monuments (NDF) and surface natural monuments (FND). On December 31, 2010 there were a total of 2704 entries in the natural monument lists, of which 1844 natural monuments, 142 areal natural monuments and 718 area natural monuments.

Extensive natural monuments (NDF) were designated after the Federal Nature Conservation Act (NatSchG) came into force on July 1, 1990. Surface natural monuments (FND) were designated by a district council decision before this point in time and are now protected in Saxony-Anhalt in accordance with the transition regulation § 59 NatSchG LSA.
