List of natural forest reserves in Hessen

The list of natural forest reserves in Hesse contains 31 (as of 2020) natural forest reserves in Hesse with a total reserve area of 1228 hectares; there are also 700 hectares of annexed comparison areas.

The list contains the official designations for name, identifier, natural area , size and the year of designation. The geographical location is averaged and the information about the district / city relates to this information. However, the areas can also extend over several administrative districts.

The natural forest reserves in Hessen are looked after by the HessenForst state company , which also publishes a series of publications on these protected areas.
