This is a list of cities in the Central African Republic .
By far the largest agglomeration in the Central African Republic is Bangui with a population of 726,310 (as of January 1, 2005). This means that around 20 percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The following table shows the cities with more than 4,000 inhabitants, the results of the census of December 8, 1975 and December 8, 1988, a calculation for January 1, 2005, and the higher-level administrative unit ( prefecture and economic prefecture ) to which the City belongs, listed. Bangui forms its own capital district and does not belong to any prefecture. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
