Bella Vogt, born on May 29th, 1893, was Isidor Kahn's niece. She married the non-Jewish Reichsbahn official Karl Gottlieb Vogt. The Nazis pressed him several times to get divorced. However, because he always refused, he was graduated from the Reichsbahn. Bella was initially spared reprisals because of her Christian husband. However, three months before the end of the war, on February 14, 1945, she was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto. Three months later, on May 10, 1945, the deportees in Theresienstadt were liberated by the Red Army. Bella Vogt returned to her husband in Groß Karben. She died in Groß-Karben in 1977. | |||

Lea Weinberg , born Lea Grünebaum , was born on July 8th, 1869 in Rendel . On July 12, 1889, she married Benzian Weinberg, who came from the Kassel area . The couple lived in the Rendeler Obergasse 12. Lea Weinberg ran a sewing school where she taught sewing to children from Rendel and neighboring towns.
On September 27, 1942, Lea Weinberg was deported with another five Karber Jews in a train with a total of 1288 people to the Theresienstadt ghetto near Prague . There she died on December 10, 1942 at the age of 73. To commemorate and as a reminder, a street in the new Fuhrweg development area in Rendel was named Lea-Weinberg-Straße in 1994 |
