The list of the stumbling blocks in Karben results by artist Gunter Demnig laid stumbling blocks in the city Karben in Wetteraukreis in Hesse , which recall the fate of the people, have been displaced or driven to suicide deported murdered in the Nazi era. So far, 61 stumbling blocks and one stumbling block have been laid in the urban area of ​​Karben. Heinrich Grünebaum was born on November 5th, 1899 in Rendel. The Grünebaums came from Groß-Karben and moved to Rendel to Dorfelder Straße 10, but came back to Groß-Karben at the end of the 1920s and moved to Frankfurt to Mainstraße 23 on February 25, 1935.

Isidor Kulb was born on December 24th, 1879 in Groß-Karben. He was the brother and business partner of Max Kulb (see: Heldenberger Str. 14). On March 24th, 1934 he moved to Frankfurt and emigrated to Uruguay on December 1st, 1934 . He died on September 16, 1960 in Montevideo .
Bertha Kulb Bertha Kulb, b. Stern was born on July 18th, 1888. On March 24th, 1934 she moved to Frankfurt and emigrated to Uruguay on December 1st, 1934. She died on March 23, 1966 in Montevideo.
Bella Kulb Bella Kulb was born on December 7th, 1913 as the daughter of Isidor and Bertha Kulb in Groß-Karben. On March 24th, 1934 she moved to Frankfurt and emigrated to Uruguay on December 1st, 1934.
Erich Kulb Erich Julius Kulb was born on December 2nd, 1922 as the son of Isidor and Bertha Kulb in Groß-Karben. On March 24th, 1934 he moved to Frankfurt and emigrated to Uruguay on December 1st, 1934. "Suddenly (overnight) the whole family was gone ...", said a contemporary witness from the neighborhood: On the occasion of the 700th anniversary celebration in 1993, he visited his home village Groß-Karben.
Bahnhofstrasse 34 Hugo Junker 10/13/2010 Hugo JunkerJunker was born on April 9th, 1894 as the son of Daniel and Marianne Junker in Groß-Karben. He was a butcher and cattle dealer and was wounded as a participant in the First World War . After the pogrom night in Karben, he was transported to the Buchenwald concentration camp from November 12 to December 16, 1938, where he was interned under prisoner number 25237.
Pink Junker 10/13/2010 Rosa Junker, née Grünebaum, was born on January 31, 1894 in Rendel. She was the wife of Hugo Junker.

Bella Vogt, born on May 29th, 1893, was Isidor Kahn's niece. She married the non-Jewish Reichsbahn official Karl Gottlieb Vogt. The Nazis pressed him several times to get divorced. However, because he always refused, he was graduated from the Reichsbahn. Bella was initially spared reprisals because of her Christian husband. However, three months before the end of the war, on February 14, 1945, she was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto. Three months later, on May 10, 1945, the deportees in Theresienstadt were liberated by the Red Army. Bella Vogt returned to her husband in Groß Karben. She died in Groß-Karben in 1977.

The Groß-Karben synagogue , which was set on fire on November 10, 1938 and destroyed, stood between Heldenberger Straße 10 and 14 . The trip threshold is reminiscent of the Jewish church and the pogrom in Groß-Karben.

Lea Weinberg , born Lea Grünebaum , was born on July 8th, 1869 in Rendel . On July 12, 1889, she married Benzian Weinberg, who came from the Kassel area . The couple lived in the Rendeler Obergasse 12. Lea Weinberg ran a sewing school where she taught sewing to children from Rendel and neighboring towns.

On September 27, 1942, Lea Weinberg was deported with another five Karber Jews in a train with a total of 1288 people to the Theresienstadt ghetto near Prague . There she died on December 10, 1942 at the age of 73. To commemorate and as a reminder, a street in the new Fuhrweg development area in Rendel was named Lea-Weinberg-Straße in 1994
