List of stumbling blocks in Lünen
The list of stumbling blocks in Lünen contains all stumbling blocks that were laid by Gunter Demnig in Lünen (North Rhine-Westphalia) as part of the art project of the same name . They are intended to commemorate the victims of National Socialism who lived and worked in Lünen. The first stumbling blocks in Lünen were laid on September 7, 2009. It was organized by the Protestant and Catholic Churches, a pharmacist, a private person and the local SPD. Further stones were then laid on April 22, 2014. Here the then NRW Labor Minister Rainer Schmeltzer was the main speaker. A cleaning campaign followed on May 8, 2015 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War . Both were carried out by the SPD. Afterwards, a "Lüner Stolpersteine working group" was formed from the previously active, voluntary citizens and organizations. In addition, there was the head of the Lüner City Archives. Other interested parties followed later, including a Lüner Culture Prize winner. Further activities took place in 2016 and 2017. New stumbling blocks were laid, lost stumbling blocks and those provided with incorrect data were replaced. On October 28, 2018, further stones were laid on the 80th anniversary of the so-called " Poland Action ". On February 7, 2019, six stumbling blocks were added. This means that 29 stumbling blocks in Lünen are reminiscent of the victims of the Nazi era. More are to follow in June 2020 in the center of Lüner.
- There is already an appointment for the lecture and the relocation at three locations in Lünen. On Tuesday, June 23rd, the time has come. Remembrance of Nazi victims: 17 new stumbling blocks for Lünen. Retrieved May 13, 2020 .
