List of the Würzburg cathedral preachers
At the Würzburg Cathedral , a position of cathedral preacher was donated for the first time in 1419 . At times the office was understood as officium legendi et praedicandi ("Service of reading and preaching"), the cathedral preachers were also obliged to hold theological lectures at the University of Würzburg .
