List of the Augsburg cathedral preachers
The office of cathedral preacher has existed at Augsburg Cathedral since 1488. There has been a morning and an afternoon preacher since the 17th century. In the 16th century, the cathedral preachers in Augsburg also had to give theological lectures for the further education of the clergy, as there was no university there.
