List of Chinese ambassadors in Guinea-Bissau
The governments of the People's Republic of China and Guinea-Bissau established diplomatic relations on March 15, 1974. The embassy is located in the Bairro de Penha in Bissau . On May 26, 1990, the government of Francisco Mendes established diplomatic relations with the government of the Republic of China in Taiwan under the then Prime Minister Hau Pei-tsun . On May 31, 1990, Li Peng's government ended diplomatic relations. On April 23, 1998, Zhu Rongji's government resumed diplomatic relations. In 2007 the bilateral trade volume amounted to 7.45 million USD.
