The building is around 1000 years old and was first mentioned in the 12th century as the Rietenhof . It has a rare pentagonal tower that can only be found in Hungary. Due to private initiatives, the tower was placed under protection in 2008 after it was supposed to be demolished in 2007. The underground part, which has also been partially preserved, has not been protected as a historical monument. |

Biedermannsdorfer Straße 2, 4 KG location : Achau |
The company apartments were occupied by employees of the Kaltenleutgabeer Kalk- und Cementfabrik , later known as Perlmooser , which had a production facility in Achau until the First World War. In the years 1901 to 1920 the houses were tax-exempt from the municipality. The houses themselves were built around 1900. The enclosure was approved by the municipality in 1908. The two buildings are now owned by the municipality of Achau. The two houses have separate entrances both on the ground floor and on the first floor. |
