The part of a small four-wing complex built by Johann Paul Grädl von Ehrenthal in 1730 was called Maria Theresien Schlössl until the first half of the 20th century. The representative building, known today as Schlösschen auf der Weide , is owned by the municipality of Maria Enzersdorf. The marble hall has a ceiling fresco by the Viennese Schmidt depicting the triumph of art and trade .

The war memorial erected in 1928 for the victims of the First World War originally stood on Franziskanerplatz in the place of an outflow fountain for pilgrims. In 1958 the octagonal column, which rests on a base with a round bowl, was renovated and moved to its current location.

The park was established in 1908 on the 60th jubilee of Emperor Franz Josef I designed. It is part of the Föhrenberge Nature Park. The park extends over the communities Mödling and (to a small extent) Maria Enzersdorf.

Former monuments

By a municipal boundaries cleanup between the municipalities of Maria Enzersdorf and Mödling of formerly protected in both communities Black Tower, which previously stood at the municipal boundary came entirely to Mödling .
