The former moated castle was first mentioned in 1371. In its current form, the outer bailey dates from different centuries. The oldest part of the three-story residential palace is the east wing with the chapel; some late Gothic windows are still preserved. The castle was significantly expanded at the beginning of the 18th century when it also received the courtyard's pillar arcades.

The parish church is a Gothic building with baroque extensions and additions. The first chapel is still in the present choir. A massive rectangular tower is presented to the church in the west. The interior was significantly redesigned on the occasion of the restoration in 1968; the earlier baroque altars have been removed.
