At the branch church of St. Nicholas is the original chapel of a castle built at the end of the 12th century, which fell into disrepair in the 15th century. Only two moats and a remains of the tower can be seen of the castle. The church is an early Gothic building with baroque extensions and was completely restored in 1970/71.

The hall-like nave has a flat ceiling, the retracted, square chancel with a strong ribbed vault on corner consoles dates from the 14th century. The coat of arms of Vorau Abbey is attached to the triumphal arch . On the outside on the walls of the ship there are Gothic consoles from a former canopy. In the baroque era, a sacristy was added and windows and doors were changed. The ceiling painting dates from the first quarter of the 18th century and shows the coronation of Mary and St. Trinity, below the Saints Ulrich, Markus and Nikolaus, as well as putti in the choir. Gothic altar remains that were still in existence were brought into the monastery, figures of the princes of the apostles and 2 images of saints from the 18th century are still there.

On the occasion of the restoration in 1971, a new altar was erected as well as the altar cross and the sacristy door by the akad. Painter Franz Weiss redesigned.
