The Art Nouveau villa built for the building officer Eduard Ast in 1924 is one of the most important Carinthian private buildings of the 20th century. The Viennese architect Josef Hoffmann was also responsible for the addition in 1934. A quote from Wilhelm Deuer: “The cubic, almost unadorned house looks as if it was made of layers thanks to the fine plaster architecture. In front of the portal is an open vestibule with a Bacchante frieze by Anton Hanak . In the course of the increase in storeys in 1934, Hoffmann created another frieze on the upper floor with surrounding, almost square windows. "
