An educational forest trail and the forest house provide a deep insight into the forest habitat. The museum was built in 1843 and used as a school until 1969. The Green Belt Center was added to the old protected house in 2015 , so that both buildings at the same address now serve as a museum.

A single-storey building that was mentioned in a document in 1784. The school ran until 1843. Anton Bruckner was a teacher from 1841 to 1843 and wrote the so-called Windhaager Messe here .
