Lisy Christl

Lisy Christl (born August 29, 1964 in Munich ) is a German costume designer .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a tailor and subsequent apprenticeship at the Münchner Kammerspiele , Lisy Christl attended the master school for fashion in Munich. For five years she worked as an assistant in theater and film, and has been a costume designer since 1995. She worked with directors such as Michael Haneke , Christian Petzold , Hans-Christian Schmid and Florian Gallenberger . In 2006 she was nominated for the German Film Prize for the costume design for Gallenberger's Shadow of Time . In 2009 she received the award for costume design for John Rabe . Roland Emmerich's historical film Anonymus from 2011 furnished Christl with costumes from the Elizabethan age . This work earned her nominations for the Oscar and the Satellite Award as well as her second award with the German Film Prize .

Lisy Christl has lived in Berlin since 1999 .
